Let's lighten things up, shall we?

The last couple times I have posted have been pretty heavy, so I felt it was time to lighten things up with a bit of fun. First, I'm going to share a little makeover with you all. And this is not just any makeover, this is a chair makeover. Because I do love me a good before and after.

Here is my charming chair before:

I found her at a thrift store just around the corner from our house for $25. And because I'm into things like this, this kind of a find is the stuff my dreams are made of. Clearly, her lines were great--unique and so very interesting. A little paint and a new fabric job was all she needed.

Here she is, after her makeover:

It is pretty safe to say that I am obsessed with this chair. It makes me so happy (maybe too happy?) when I spot her in my dining room throughout the day.

Wade is newly into feeding bites of his food to us in between taking his own bites. You just have to kind of grin and bare it when you see those slimy little fingers covered in who know's what coming at you with a piece of food...

I mean, how could you say no to this face???
