You may recall that for the past couple of years, we’ve taken an annual trip to Hilton Head, SC with Philip’s family. This year was the first time we ventured somewhere different—Myrtle Beach, SC. The hotel where we stayed was really kid-friendly, which was a good thing because Myrtle Beach was host to both Biker Week and College Beach Week while we were there! I have a ton of great pictures to share, but I don’t want to risk putting you all through “beach picture overdose”, so I’m thinking I’ll break things down a bit. Today we’ll cover the first batch of pictures. Most of the photos speak for themselves, so I won’t talk too much.
{Someone please feed my son a hamburger, bless my skinny little boy’s heart!}
I have a feeling the look Holland is giving my here may resurface in her teen years…
I LOVE these next ones of my girl and her daddy! Holland loved the water!
Notice how Wade is actually in the water here (and in the previous pictures)? Well, for the first day, he was all gung-ho about getting in the water; it was actually a bit alarming how he’d just head on in the water, regardless of how deep it was. As a result of this fearlessness, we felt the need to require him to wear some sort of flotation device. Well not surprising, our two year old did not like this idea. Wade’s Grammy went out and bought a variety of flotation devices in the hopes that one would suit his fancy. I think he looks like a pretty cute little superhero pictured here in the one that he chose to tolerate (the puffy vest snaps onto the bathing suit). Well, we don’t know if it was just coincidence, but as soon as we required him to wear something to keep him from drowning, he became totally anxious around the water and refused to get in! All he wanted to do for the rest of our time at the beach was stand on the edge and throw balls back and forth! Go figure!
Apparently, this is the best I can get when it comes to a picture of me with both of my kids!
More to come!
your trip looks like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteThese look like so much fun. My fam is going to the beach in July, this makes me swear to myself I'll take pictures despite the squirming child/sand issues/sweaty hands. :) You look beautiful by the way!
ReplyDeleteHow random. I was just thinking about yall because I had a random question for you. Anyway, we just rolled in from Myrtle beach last night. Biker week was quite something, huh?! I love your blog and your precious kiddos!
