This Easter was probably one of the most beautiful Easters I can remember. The flowers were in bloom and the weather was perfection. We spent the weekend with Philip’s family up in northern Va.
Of course pictures speak better than my words, so here you go:
We started off the weekend with a bbq at Philip’s sister, Suzanne’s family’s house. Wade was fascinated with crawling all around their deluxe swing set-meets-jungle gym play area!
I want you all to see Wade’s cute little bunny outfit that was covered up in the above pictures by the bib that we forgot to take off after dinner.
Isn’t it sweet?!
I think these pictures of Philip and Kate having fun are super cute.
And look how sweet Abby is in her highchair:
We all got a good laugh out of the fact that the ice cream cones that Suzanne picked up at the store were extremely mini in size. The package was labeled as kid-sized, so understandably Suzanne felt these cones were a good choice. It was quite funny when she actually opened up the box and realized how small they really were. I guess portion control was never a bad thing, right?
On Easter morning, Wade got to check out his Easter basket.
He was pretty delighted to find some of his favorite snacks inside those eggs! Apparently, Benjamin shared his sentiment:
I love this smile. Wade has really become quite the ham. He will break out the toothiest grin to charm the socks off of just about anyone.
After church, we took a little time to drive by some of the beautiful cherry blossom trees in downtown D.C.
This was followed by lunch and egg-hunting.
And guess what?! Wade has started taking some steps on his own! Of course, we are so proud! I happened to get some video footage via my regular digital camera, though he of course walked for longer stretches when I wasn’t filming. Oh, and please ignore the somewhat annoying, high pitched voice of a very proud mama :)

Goodness, that was a lot of pictures! Thanks for sticking with us!
LOVED all the pictures. I always say, the more, the better! Thanks for sharing your Easter (now memories) with us.
ReplyDeletemay i just say i love all the adorable jumpers you dress Wade in, the bunny one is super fun! we have a few passed down from my youngest brother (now the wise old age of 17) that i can't wait for Grady to grow into. ( i love when kids are dressed like kids and not adults since it's such a fleeting stage of life!) hope to see you soon, worthingtons!!
